Best Indianapolis Wedding Photographers! www.sixohfourstudios.com
Well it’s finally time to start sharing all of these BEAUTIFUL weddings with the world!! I have had this blog for ages – ever since the “Love Stories” rebrand back in 2012. And how many blog posts do I have to show for it? ……..
Then, with our transition over to 604 Studios, I was pumped and ready to begin blogging FOR REAL this time…and here we are, months later and still…..nothing! Truth be told – blogging overwhelms me!! I am the WORST at narrowing down photos….(if you’re a client, you’ll probably read that and say…YEP…from the massive amount of photos you received from your day!!). So when it comes to blogging…I find myself in a panic and then just put it all on hold. Thus…no blog posts.
However…I’m happy to announce that as part of this new 604 Studios adventure….I’ve begun letting go of things that I feel are holding us back. AKA…letting Jordan take part in more of the things that I feel I HAVE to have control over. For instance…the BLOG!!!
Jordan has been practically begging me to do the blog for months…but it’s been so hard for me to let go and let him take control! Not that he doesn’t or won’t do an incredible job…it’s just I’m so used to operating the whole business side of things SOLO – and I feel like if I’m not the one doing it, I’m failing somehow. Thankfully, Jordan is oh-so-supportive and has helped me realize it’s not about how much I can do myself, and that things would go so much smoother if I’d hand over some of the responsibilities to him!! So…we’re going to give it a shot, starting today!
I do love to write and gush over our clients… so I’ll be the one writing and sharing about each wedding/session. But the Jordster’s going to take over the selection and layout portion! And I have to tell you…I’m pretty excited about it!!
SO!! Let’s kick things off with the first faces you see when you visit our new website – Rachel & Kenny!! These two got married on a rainy, rainy day last May. Despite the weather and the last minute change from an outdoor ceremony to indoors, the day was still a breeze! Rachel & Kenny are two of the most laid back people we’ve had a chance to photograph…and Rachel was absolutely stunning the day of. With the weather uncertainties, I would’ve been a crazy bride totally freaking out!! But Rachel? So calm and collected – rocking her gorgeous dress seemingly without a care in the world! Sure, it was a bummer we weren’t able to have the ceremony outside, but after a few deep breaths and hugs, Rachel & Kenny remembered just what the day was about, and we proceeded with the wedding indoors.
Thankfully, The Hawthorns has a stunning ballroom!! The big, beautiful windows and the breathtaking trellis/florals transformed the space and made it feel like we were still outdoors! The sun peeked through in the middle of the ceremony and filled the space with loads of sunshine – it was breathtaking!!
We were able to sneak out for a bit right after the ceremony for some sunny, sprinkly photos – and they are some of our favorites!! Enjoy our first wedding blog – we have many, many more to share over the coming weeks!!
